Description

This is the Basic Set for the Cartographers Edition of Game Stamps. It can be used with the board-game Cartographers or as a map-making tool for other games. The Campaign Expansion adds even many more designs, extending the collection further.

The Basic Set contains 9 stamps, encompassing the board-game Cartographers and its Heroes expansion.

• Horned Skull (Monster)
• Radiant Sword (Hero)
• Ring of Sparks (Hero’s Attack Pattern)

Two versions of the Farmland stamp are available. Both depict the furrows of a field, but in one version the furrows are diagonal while in the other the furrows are straight.

• The diagonal furrows more closely resemble the artwork used in the board-game Cartographers. You may prefer this design if you will only be using the stamps with that game, because it more closely resembles the artwork on the cards.
• The straight furrows are more versatile, because you can rotate the stamp 90 degrees to create a patchwork field. You may prefer this design if you will also be using the stamps to create maps for role-playing games.
• You may choose either version when purchasing this set. If you want the other version also, it may be purchased as a separate add-on.

If you already own the Trailblazer edition of Game Stamps or its Perilous Shores expansion, please note that two of the designs in this set are similar to ones you already have.

• The Tree is based on the Deciduous Forest in the Basic edition, although it is slightly larger and darker.
• The Farmland with straight furrows is similar to the design in the Perilous Shores expansion, although it has slightly more detail.

The set comes in a small chipboard box which bears a hand-stamped logo. It can be purchased with black and red ink pads, and additional colors may be purchased separately.
