Description

Blending tools can be used with water-based inks and stencils to create colored backgrounds or homemade hex paper.

Note: These blending tools should be used with water-based ink pad, which can be purchased separately.

Each blending tool comes with a foam applicator. The foam is detachable, so you can replace the applicator if it wears out or if you want to change colors.

I recommend purchasing a separate blending tool for each of your ink pads. In theory you could use the same blending tool with many different ink pads, swapping out the foam applicators when you want to change colors, but there are some drawbacks to this technique:

• The foam applicators wear out more rapidly if you change them repeatedly.
• It is difficult to detach the foam without getting ink on your fingers, so if you change the foam in the middle of a session, there is a greater danger that you’ll smudge ink across the paper.
